SV	Tegen Damaskus. Beschaamd is Hamath en Arpad; omdat zij een boos gerucht gehoord hebben, zijn zij gesmolten; bij de zee is bekommernis, men kan er niet rusten.

Trans.	ləḏammeśeq bwōšâ ḥămāṯ wə’arəpāḏ kî-šəmu‘â rā‘â šāmə‘û nāmōḡû bayyām də’āḡâ hašəqēṭ lō’ yûḵāl:

AC	כג לדמשק בושה חמת וארפד--כי שמעה רעה שמעו נמגו בים דאגה השקט לא יוכל
ASV	Of Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad; for they have heard evil tidings, they are melted away: there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
BE	About Damascus. Hamath is put to shame, and Arpad; for the word of evil has come to their ears, their heart in its fear is turned to water, it will not be quiet.
